Key Responsibilities
- Performs high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex operating systems, workstations and servers.
- Captures, coordinates, directs and performs complex software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
- Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
- Continually monitors and tunes multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
- Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions of varying complexities.
- Ensures data/media recoverability by developing and implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
- Plans and implements the modernization of servers.
- Develops, implements and promotes standard operating procedures and schedules.
- Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- Develops and implements new standards, policies and procedures.
- Required: Bachelors and 9+ years of experience, Master's and 7+. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Must have a current DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level II (example Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CYSA+, etc.,).
- US Citizenship and a Secret clearance are required.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting complex networked systems.
- Experience with Windows Domain Controllers (DC) Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
- Experience with PowerShell and Bash Scripting.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting cloud-based systems.
- Experience using ServiceNow or a similar ticketing system.
- Experience managing, standing up, and troubleshooting Windows Server Operating Systems in virtual and physical environments (e.g. VMware or HyperVisor).
- Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory networks and associated services (DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Distributed File System, etc.).
- Experience working with file and data permissions on network-hosted file shares and storage (i.e. NetApp, New Technology File System (NTFS), etc.).
