About the role

Responsible for all areas of field services repair and product delivery to customer locations, maintaining and repairing equipment, ensuring customer needs are met, and representing KASCO LLC in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Performs maintenance and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on food processing equipment (band saws, juicers, meat grinders, slicers, tenderizers, etc.).
  • Performs safety audits on customer equipment.
  • Maximizes sales of KASCO services, products, and repair offerings to targeted customers.
  • Prospects independent specialty stores, small packers, and small chains for new business.
  • Sells special programs created by KASCO.
  • Provides technical support to customers on proper equipment use.
  • Maintains inventory control, including predetermined levels at customer locations and in the field warehouse/truck.
  • Forecasts and reorders inventory to ensure timely and economical receipt of products.
  • Manages route territory according to an established schedule, including stops and time allocation.
  • Handles special and emergency calls promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Administers order processing and invoice collection using a laptop, tablet, or mobile device.
  • Produces invoicing at the store level and collects payments for accounts below minimum billing levels.
  • Maintains a safe work environment, adhering to company, federal, and state safety regulations.
  • Operates and maintains the service vehicle according to company policy.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Presents a professional image of KASCO, including wearing a uniform, maintaining a clean and organized van, and ensuring professional communication.

Requirements

  • Accredited high school diploma, business or trade school education, or GED.
  • Excellent mechanical, electrical, and electronic aptitude.
  • Related technician repair skills.

    • Able to manage van inventory maintenance and replenishment.
    • Invoice preparation and mathematical aptitude.
  • Language skills:
    • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Ability to speak effectively before customers.
  • Reasoning ability:
    • Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.

Physical Demands

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • Regularly uses hands to finger, handle, or feed objects, tools, or controls; reaches with hands and arms; stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls; and talks or hears.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds from floor to waist and 50 pounds from waist to chest unassisted.
  • Requires close vision, depth perception, color identification, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to drive a KASCO van or truck between customer stops and from customer stops to the warehouse.

Work Environment

  • Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.
  • Works in varying temperatures, including loading/unloading the van in non-climate-controlled outdoor conditions and working in refrigerated meat rooms.
