Field Service Millwright (Hydro)

About the role

American Hydro, a leading supplier and installer of large equipment for the hydro-electric industry, is seeking a Field Service Millwright to join our team at our York, PA facility. We specialize in the design, engineering, precision CNC manufacture, upgrades, and servicing of high-performance hydro-turbines and large pumps. Responsibilities

• Install equipment, repair items, and transfer machinery to needed locations.
• Follow safety and environmental requirements for each job site.
• Ensure all machines operate properly by reviewing and following highly technical and complex machinery manuals.
• Provide on-site mechanical labor and supply own small hand tools for use at job sites.
• Complete personal expense reports weekly as required.
• Complete and submit project documentation per contract requirements as directed by the site Field Service Representative (FSR).
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect malfunctions.
• Test machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Repair, replace, and maintain parts and systems.
• Assemble, move, set up, and dismantle tools and machinery.

Requirements

• Associate degree with one to two years of related experience or high school degree with 5 years of millwright or similar experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read blueprints and diagrams to properly install and repair machines.
• Comfortable using large equipment such as cranes and trucks.
• Familiarity with a variety of tools and equipment.
• Proficient in the use of precision measurement equipment.

Schedule

100% travel required. Work environments typically include remote indoor powerhouses, with minimal outdoor work.
