Field Service Engineer (Remote)
This is a remote role based in the Boise, ID area, requiring up to 50% travel to customer sites. U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status is required.

Step into a high-impact role with Advanced Thermal Sciences (ATS), an RTX-owned organization within the Collins Aerospace family, where your technical expertise supports the advanced systems that keep semiconductor manufacturing operations running at peak performance. As a Field Service Engineer, you will serve as the on-site face of ATS, taking ownership of installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of complex electromechanical equipment used in fabrication environments. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring equipment reliability, diagnosing issues, and delivering solutions that align with customer needs and operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site field service, including installation, operation, maintenance, repair, and removal of complex temperature control equipment to meet customer and company requirements
- Install, test, service, and calibrate equipment to ensure performance aligns with operating specifications and customer expectations
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, providing clear recommendations and solutions to both internal teams and customers
- Conduct preventative maintenance and routine service activities to ensure equipment reliability and long-term performance
- Analyze product performance and support modifications, upgrades, and enhancements based on customer specifications and operational needs
- Serve as the primary on-site representative, building strong relationships and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
- Ensure services are delivered in alignment with contract requirements, timelines, and expectations
- Coordinate technical services, logistics, provisioning, and system configurations to support customer operations
- Maintain and review equipment logs to identify trends, determine repair needs, and recommend effective solutions
- Demonstrate basic computer literacy, including navigating Microsoft Office 360 and standard desktop applications
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and servicing complex temperature control equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing communication skills with the ability to build relationships and represent the organization effectively
- Experience supporting or servicing industrial/commercial refrigeration systems
- Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical control systems, including PLCs
- Experience performing hands-on diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of electromechanical systems in a field service or industrial environment
- Universal EPA certification

Pay
The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
