Responsibilities
- Test and validate repaired and returned equipment
- Analyze results and report findings
- Perform requalification of used systems, preventive and corrective maintenance
- Provide technical assistance to test, install, service, and repair probes and equipment
- Communicate and work closely with Service and Support Center, Regional Service Management and Applications Specialists
- Install new or modified systems or accessories at customer facilities and ensure full functionality according to specifications
- Secure customer acceptance of installation and repair sign-off
- Re-qualify the entire instrument after service repair by running complex compounds for verification
- Serve as a supportive and effective communication link between the customer and company to ensure customer service satisfaction
Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Biotech discipline
- Minimum 3 years hands-on work experience operating and troubleshooting NMR equipment
- Strong technical skills involving analytical instrumentation
- Excellent customer focus with ability to reliably respond to inquiries, communicate and interact with Scientists
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical drawings and related materials to troubleshoot and diagnose issues down to the component level
- Fluency in English language spoken and written
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to work independently, prioritize, multi-task, follow through, meet deadlines within an entrepreneurial and customer-focused work environment
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., transport equipment and tools in excess of 300 lbs.
Pay
- The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $71,000 and $113,000
