Field Service Engineer - Power Control Equipment

About the role

We are seeking Field Service Engineers to support critical power facilities in the Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati Ohio areas. This position involves working with automatic transfer switches, providing technical support, and managing client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Carry a cell phone and be on call 24/7
• Provide technical support for field startups, warranty efforts, remedial repairs, and preventative maintenance contracts
• Supervise and ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, guidelines, and laws
• Communicate with clients in a customer service-oriented manner and manage project work as needed
• Conduct all work and decisions in strict compliance with regulatory laws
• Travel up to 80% of the time

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED
• 3+ years experience with field service engineering, electrical power, and automatic transfer switch testing
• Experience reading schematics and blueprints for power control, automation, and customer technical support
• Familiarity with applicable codes and industry standards
• Strong project management skills with excellent decision-making, organization, and management capabilities
• Valid driver's license in good standing

Qualifications

• Basic qualifications: High School Diploma / GED, 3+ years experience, and basic skills listed above
• Preferred qualifications: 5+ years of field service experience, associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, and advanced customer service and troubleshooting skills
