About the Role
This full-time position offers onsite support for installation, maintenance, and site support of state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing and wet processing equipment. You will work closely with co-workers, customers, and field support to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve equipment issues under strict time constraints. The role requires adaptability to varying schedules, including standard day shifts, compressed schedules, or night shifts, based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite support for installation, maintenance, and site support of semiconductor manufacturing/wet processing equipment.
- Evaluate and diagnose problems, making proper repairs while following and helping develop detailed procedures.
- Work with co-workers, customers, and field support to isolate and resolve problems efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and document findings, escalating unresolved issues as needed.
- Work overtime as required by business demands.
- Assist with equipment installation and maintenance at customer facilities under direct supervision.
- Power up new equipment, perform mechanical setup, calibration, and configure tool parameters using specifications and guidelines.
- Perform basic to complex troubleshooting and repairs using specified procedures.
- Build rapport with customers to gather information about equipment performance.
- Perform extensive troubleshooting, diagnose equipment problems, and make prompt repairs or adjustments.
Requirements
- Ability to thrive in a demanding environment with varying workloads.
- Work independently or as part of a team while maintaining a strong customer focus and commitment to satisfaction.
- Experience using alignment tools such as micrometers, calipers, multimeters, and current clamps.
- Ability to read schematics and plumbing diagrams.
- Familiarity with chemical handling, including protective equipment and hazard awareness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Work safely and adhere to all safety protocols.
Qualifications
An associate’s degree in an Engineering field is required. Completion of military technical training and/or relevant field experience may substitute for the degree.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk up to 5+ miles per day and remain on your feet for 8-10 hours at a time.
- Capability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, and work at heights or on a ladder.
- Lift up to 50-75 pounds as required.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential for overtime and shift adjustments based on business needs.
Pay
$42.00 to $48.00 per hour, depending on experience and level.
