Responsibilities
- Lives by our safety program and drives engagement at all levels.
- Conducts/performs semi-complex site surveys to develop base or installation design plans.
- Provides on-site process start-up and operations leadership and support.
- Sizes pipelines, pumps, blowers, and other equipment based on site hydraulics.
- Identifies, coordinates, and engages with other functional teams to complete assignments.
- Creates equipment, instrumentation, and valve lists to be purchased.
- Conducts in-person shop or jobsite reviews throughout the project.
- May develop the planning and estimating of labor categories, rates, material dollar costs, transportation expenses, and per diem rates to complete complex proposals.
- Guides and performs the review of complex-task plans, drawings, and installation schematics and provides continual guidance throughout task duration.
- Preempts potential problems and provides effective solutions in applying engineering concepts, techniques, knowledge, or processes.
- Writes and modifies PLC and HMI programs for water treatment systems.
- Configures automation networks, including Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, Profibus, Profinet, and Modbus.
- Supports the construction/project manager with the technical oversight of contractors.
- Trains customers and other engineers to maintain and adjust complex tools, test equipment, and calibration items.
- Writes and submits reports covering all job activity.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Preferred BS/BA degree in Engineering.
- Preferred experience with water solutions.
- Demonstrated history of excellent communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of operational processes as defined in work area.
- Ability to research a variety of parts needed for repairs and alterations of water systems.
- Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical (plus).
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office Suite, CRM, other applications).
Travel
40-50% travel required.
