What You’ll Do
- Performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, calibration, and repair on laboratory instruments, medical diagnostic equipment, and kiosk systems
- Conducting performance verification and equipment testing to ensure compliance and reliability
- Documenting service activities and managing work orders using EMSAR’s ServiceMax system
- Communicating with dispatch teams and customers to coordinate service calls
- Representing EMSAR professionally while working at customer facilities
Key Responsibilities
- Expect 25% of the role to include documentation and service reporting, with the majority focused on hands-on technical work in the field
- This position could require regional day trips and occasional overnight stays
- All travel is company paid
Qualifications
- We’re looking for technicians who enjoy solving technical problems, working independently, and supporting customers in the field
- Successful Candidates Typically Have Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Able to read and interpret technical manuals and service documentation
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organization and time-management abilities
- The ability to work independently while following established procedures
Education & Experience
- Option 1: High School Diploma or equivalent
2–4 years of technical or field service experience - Option 2: Associate degree or trade/technical school certification
1+ year of technical experience (including internship or apprenticeship)
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and proof of liability insurance
- Ability to operate personal, fleet, or rental vehicles
Physical & Work Environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and equipment handling
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move equipment up to 125 lbs
- Regular use of hand tools and diagnostic equipment
- Time spent both on-site at customer facilities and documenting service work electronically
