What You’ll Do

  • Performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, calibration, and repair on laboratory instruments, medical diagnostic equipment, and kiosk systems
  • Conducting performance verification and equipment testing to ensure compliance and reliability
  • Documenting service activities and managing work orders using EMSAR’s ServiceMax system
  • Communicating with dispatch teams and customers to coordinate service calls
  • Representing EMSAR professionally while working at customer facilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Expect 25% of the role to include documentation and service reporting, with the majority focused on hands-on technical work in the field
  • This position could require regional day trips and occasional overnight stays
  • All travel is company paid

Qualifications

  • We’re looking for technicians who enjoy solving technical problems, working independently, and supporting customers in the field
  • Successful Candidates Typically Have Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Able to read and interpret technical manuals and service documentation
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organization and time-management abilities
  • The ability to work independently while following established procedures

Education & Experience

  • Option 1: High School Diploma or equivalent
    2–4 years of technical or field service experience
  • Option 2: Associate degree or trade/technical school certification
    1+ year of technical experience (including internship or apprenticeship)

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and proof of liability insurance
  • Ability to operate personal, fleet, or rental vehicles

Physical & Work Environment

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and equipment handling
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move equipment up to 125 lbs
  • Regular use of hand tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Time spent both on-site at customer facilities and documenting service work electronically
