About the role
Field Service Engineers provide on-site installation, repair, modification, and preventative maintenance of all Stereotaxis technology in hospital surgical environments, along with remote diagnosis and support of these activities.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, install, repair, modify, and perform preventative maintenance of all Stereotaxis technology
- Interface with customers to obtain accurate details of the equipment service needs and provide updates regarding the progress of the service/installation
- Create or modify service documentation such as installation, service, periodic maintenance, and troubleshooting manuals
- Maintain reporting documentation to ensure compliance with company and government requirements (e.g., expense reports, field service reports, complaint handling)
- Perform remote support and diagnosis when not actively deployed in the field
Requirements
- Associates degree in electronics or relevant technical subject preferred
- 1–3+ years’ experience in field service position highly preferred
- 1–3+ years’ experience with diagnosis and repair of electromechanical systems highly preferred
- Experience working in a diagnostic x-ray environment and catheter lab environment highly preferred
- Ability to work independently at customer sites and make business decisions to maintain customer satisfaction and escalate problems in a timely manner
- Good communication skills, including ability to communicate appropriately with customers
- Ability to make repairs at a component level, if required
- Windows experience including TCP/IP protocols highly preferred
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Work Conditions
- Field position requiring approximately 50–100% travel including occasional weekend travel
- Must be able to provide after-hours technical support
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
- Must be able to work around magnetic fields
