Field Service Engineer

Location: Sarasota, FL | Work Type: Full-Time, On-Site | 60-80% Travel

About The Role

The Field Service Engineer will support industrial packaging and production equipment at customer facilities throughout the United States and internationally. This position focuses on troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, commissioning, and technical support for specialized packaging and automation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation-related equipment issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, installations, and equipment upgrades.
• Support equipment commissioning and production start-ups.
• Diagnose machine problems and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide technical support and training to customer personnel.
• Complete service reports and technical documentation.
• Assist with spare parts identification and inventory when not traveling.

Requirements

• Background in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently at customer facilities.
• Professional communication and customer-service skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 60-80%), including international travel.
• Experience with packaging, filling, food & beverage, or industrial automation equipment is preferred.
