About the Role
TRUMPF is the world’s leading supplier of drive lasers to Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) applications. As a TRUMPF Field Service Engineer, you will install, retrofit, upgrade, and repair the latest technology semiconductor chip manufacturing equipment for global industry leaders. You will receive extensive training to start and for continuous development throughout your career. We welcome all experience levels, and your tasks and training will align with your previous experience.
Responsibilities
- Install new and used, retrofit, and/or upgrade TRUMPF EUV Drive Laser (EUV-DL) systems, alone or with team members.
- Provide emergency field service, troubleshooting, and repair of EUV-DL systems, including after-hours and weekend dispatch as required.
- Perform preventative maintenance of EUV-DL systems.
- Answer calls for technical support via telephone and email.
- Utilize remote diagnostics to resolve customer concerns.
- Understand and use technical documentation, schematics, and blueprints during support missions.
- Participate in a multi-national team of engineers and rotate shifts for 24/7 emergency support.
- Use Service Information Software (SIS) to create, manage, and close cases, missions, and reports.
- Interface with TRUMPF departments to resolve technical problems.
- Report discrepancies, unresolved, or recurrent problems to EUV Management.
- Maintain professional communication with customers, field service engineers, and TRUMPF personnel, adhering to company policies.
- Use SAP software and other computer skills as required.
- Coordinate field support with the EUV Administrator, Project Coordinator, and Supervisor.
- Attend training classes to maintain skill levels and stay updated on new product introductions.
- Attend necessary meetings in person or via telecommunication.
Requirements
- One or more years of experience in field service or equivalent in customer service.
- 1-2 years in field service machine commissioning experience preferred.
- 2-3 years in field service machine final qualification experience preferred.
- Strong electrical and computer systems background with diagnostic experience.
- Good mechanical proficiency with hand tools, including precision measurement tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to relocate to Portland, OR, Phoenix, AZ, or San Diego, CA.
- Unrestricted ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 100% travel as determined by management).
- Must maintain a valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
- Normal mobility to move around an office and conduct computer-based work.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack.
Schedule
- Rotate shifts with other Field Service Engineers as part of 24/7 emergency support.
- Some weekend work may change to a temporary shift schedule based on customer needs.
- Occasional overnights as needed.
