Field Service Engineer
About the role
Teledyne LABS is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Houston, TX to provide on-site service and installation of instrumentation, service contract sales, and application support for new products.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and perform on-site installation, diagnose performance issues, repair, and preventative maintenance for products
- Promote, sell, and support Service products
- Provide technical support to customers via telephone and on-site visits
- Aid as escalation engineer for difficult, delicate, or ongoing situations as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related scientific field; Associate’s degree (A. A.) in Engineering or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; 2-5 years related experience in laboratory troubleshooting/repairing analytical equipment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to be analytical, solve problems, and provide technical skills
- Experience with customer service - Responds promptly, meets commitments, works well with other team members, and demonstrates professional written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of Excel Spreadsheet and Word Processing software
- Ability to travel including some overnight travel up to 75% of the time
- A valid drivers license is required for this role
