Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure customer satisfaction through the installation, calibration, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of Mahr metrology systems and equipment at customer locations.
- Independently perform preventive maintenance, calibration, repair, and service activities while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.
- Perform basic installations and customer training as part of standard service delivery.
- Support advanced installations and customer projects under the guidance of senior engineers or Applications Engineers.
- Train customer personnel on proper operation, care, and basic maintenance of equipment.
- Accurately document service activities, calibration results, repairs, and customer interactions using company service management systems.
- Submit timely service reports, expense reports, and required documentation to support billing, certification, and equipment history records.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer productivity and equipment performance while communicating potential service opportunities to the sales and service teams.
- Maintain assigned tools, calibration standards, vehicles, and company assets in accordance with company requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing across the Technical Services organization.
- Maintain technical competency through ongoing training and professional development.
Education / Qualifications / Experience
- Associate degree, technical degree, military technical training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in field service, calibration, maintenance, manufacturing, metrology, or related technical field.
- Electronic, mechanical, and computer troubleshooting skills required.
- Experience with precision measurement equipment, calibration, or industrial automation preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing travel schedules and customer commitments.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively throughout assigned territory.
