The Service Engineer will take responsibility for the repair, maintenance, servicing, and commissioning of all electrical equipment supported by the company at customer sites globally.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline product support ensuring customer satisfaction
• Investigate customer issues and develop solutions
• Carry out inspection/checks on own work as it proceeds and ensure equipment performs satisfactorily and is safe before handing back to the customer
• Produce detailed work packages including risk and method statements for all work
• Carry out site surveys on customer equipment for appraisal/reporting for costing purposes
• Liaise with the Service Manager while working on overseas jobs
• Provide technical support for existing product support engineers
• Carry out product servicing, repair, and upgrades in line with company specifications
• Work safely within hazardous environments and ensure equipment is left in a safe and working manner
• Act as a point of contact for the customer or their representative
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and work instructions, including health and safety
• Comply with and promote the company’s values and behaviors
• Carry out other reasonable duties as requested

Requirements

• Demonstrable knowledge of high voltage distribution and supply equipment with strong fault-finding and repair skills
• Understanding and experience with electrical capital equipment and design
• Qualified to work in electrical hazardous areas and willing to undertake relevant training
• Ability to work with high-level technical data with a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to work under own initiative while accurately following defined plans and specifications
• Strong ability to prioritize workload and ensure accuracy on the first attempt
• Ability to work independently with a strong customer focus and commercial awareness
