Field Service Engineer

About the role
This position supports our sales team, distributors, and end-users with technical questions and processing RMA returns related to our products. You will work directly with our Warranty division and have a major impact on our customers and the relationships we maintain with them. The Bray Commercial Field Engineer will report directly to the BCD Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer facilities to provide troubleshooting and repair
- Provide technical support to Bray employees, distributors, and customers
- Assist the Quality/RMA Department with technical troubleshooting, emails, and documents
- Create and update technical marketing/published product offering documents
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Experience providing electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical technical support
- Knowledge of butterfly, ball, globe, and pressure-independent control valves
- Familiarity with electric motor actuators and pneumatic piston/diaphragm actuators
- Experience with electrical control systems, including PLCs, BMS, Arduino, and Raspberry Pi platforms
- Proficiency in the use of electrical test equipment, including multimeters, signal generators, and power supplies
- Understanding of Ethernet, BACnet, and Modbus communication networks
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), 2D AutoCAD, 3D modeling software, and other relevant applications
- Ability to periodically lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship
