Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and support automated packaging machinery at customer sites.
- Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMI systems to optimize machine performance.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and system documentation.
- Design, troubleshoot, and support electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Lead startup, debug, validation, and acceptance testing activities for new equipment installations.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, controls, and mechanical issues in the field.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to implement effective technical solutions.
- Generate and maintain technical documentation, bills of materials, and system information.
- Build strong customer relationships by providing expert technical support and responsive service.
Requirements
- 3+ years of PLC programming and troubleshooting experience in an industrial environment.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley controls, including:
- RSLogix 5
- RSLogix 500
- RSLogix 5000
- Studio 5000
- Connected Components Workbench (CCW)
- Experience programming HMIs using FactoryTalk View.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical for schematic development and modification.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills on industrial machinery.
- Understanding of electrical systems, circuits, controls, and power distribution.
Preferred Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Experience within packaging, food processing, or consumer products manufacturing environments.
- Previous field service, commissioning, or machine startup experience.
Work Environment
This is a dynamic, travel-focused role offering the opportunity to work directly with customers across the country. You'll spend time both in manufacturing environments and using advanced software tools to program, troubleshoot, and optimize machine performance. Travel is primarily throughout the United States, with occasional trips to Canada.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year.
