About the role
Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair on designated equipment. Emergency call-out service on a rotating schedule.
Responsibilities
- Complete preventive maintenance and field modifications
- Maintain up-to-date administrative responsibilities such as customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner
- Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up
- Identify and participate in sales opportunities such as new contracts, contract renewals, and system sales
Requirements
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience in industrial automation
- Qualified entry-level candidates will be considered
- 2 years of management experience
- 5+ years of field service experience
- Aptitude in troubleshooting/configuring PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and GE), drives (Siemens, ABB, and Allen-Bradley), and/or HMI packages is a plus
- Experience in metals processing is strongly preferred
- Willingness and desire to participate in ongoing training to maintain technical competence in automation products, software, and complementary areas
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, and Visio
