Field Service Blader

About the role

CEIS Power is seeking an experienced Steam Turbine Blader with 5+ years of experience performing steam turbine blading, overhaul, and repair activities in shop and field environments. This is a direct hire opportunity with an industrial repair and manufacturing company specializing in rotating equipment and turbomachinery services.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, removal, repair, and installation of steam turbine blades and associated rotating equipment components
• Conduct pre- and post-disassembly inspections, documenting blade condition, wear, and damage
• Remove and install blades on rotors, stators, and reversing rings using OEM procedures and specifications
• Weigh, sort, and match blades to ensure proper balance and performance
• Fabricate, fit, and peen shrouds while ensuring proper fit-up and mechanical integrity
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, OEM specifications, and work instructions
• Verify dimensional tolerances, mechanical clearances, and blade alignment throughout the assembly process
• Operate manual lathes, mills, surface grinders, and other shop equipment as required
• Complete inspection reports, travelers, and quality documentation
• Support field service projects by traveling to customer sites for turbine outages, inspections, and repairs
• Maintain a safe work environment while following company quality and safety standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience performing steam turbine blading, repair, or overhaul
• Experience assembling and disassembling steam turbines and rotating equipment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and OEM work instructions
• Experience with blade installation, fit-up, balancing, and dimensional inspections
• Ability to operate manual machine tools including lathes, mills, and surface grinders
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability and willingness to travel for field service assignments

Preferred Qualifications

• Steam turbine overhaul and field service experience
• Experience with stators, rotors, reversing rings, and compressor components
• Familiarity with OEM turbine repair procedures
• ASME, ISO, or other quality system experience
• Rotating equipment or turbomachinery repair experience
