Field Sales Representative - Minnesota
About the role
Responsible for executing all aspects of MABI portfolio brand plans in the assigned market. Implement wholesaler plans, execute distributor incentive programs, and ensure key account execution. Market area(s) will be defined and comprised of one or more distributors.
Responsibilities
- 4.5 days per week in-market work with District Manager level influencers at distributors.
- Execute all aspects of sales plan with wholesaler network.
- Implement brand plans and programming by collaborating with distributor influencers.
- Track and report market conditions using the MABIlity tool.
- Provide weekly retail/market recaps of execution and performance, offering feedback via MABIlity.
- Work with teammates in the field to share best practices and coordinate market execution/activation drives for key initiatives, new item launches, and distribution drives.
- Ensure brand execution at the market level, including pricing, shelf placement, cold box placement, display, draft, and bottle placement.
- Monitor competitive trends and report relevant developments.
- Evaluate personal performance monthly to identify growth areas.
- Demonstrate the MABI Way to sell (Taste the Difference, MABI meetings, DAP3, and Performance Dashboard).
- Embody the MABI One culture (5Vs, 5 Cs, 27mm cases).
- Manage operating and T&E expenses within company guidelines.
Monthly Focus:
- 18 days (90% of time) ensuring retail execution, surveying with key wholesaler influencers, evaluating distribution, display, and ad feature execution.
- 2 full days (10% of time) managing administrative requirements, including fiscal responsibility, distribution tracking, program execution tracking, and performance management, as well as local initiatives.
Requirements
- 0 to 2 years of experience in a relevant role.
- High sense of urgency, strong organizational skills, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to investing significant time and energy into career development.
- Mobility is mandatory; high performers may be rewarded with new opportunities that could require relocation.
- 1-2+ years of experience working with wholesalers in the beverage category or CPG (preferred).
- Strong analytical and math skills for budgeting and analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) with the ability to develop and present materials.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
