Summary (Major Purpose Of The Role)

As a Field Sales Representative, you will play an integral role in the Company by developing new business through analysis of account potential, initiating, developing and closing sales, and recommending new programs and sales strategies.

  • ME — Maine
  • VT — Vermont

Main Activities/Responsibilities

  • Serves existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential clients
  • Identifies development potential in accounts by studying current business; interviewing key customer personnel and company personnel who have worked with customers; identifying and evaluating additional needs; analyzing opportunities
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analysis
  • Works closely with distributor partners to grow new business
  • Maintains awareness of competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Contributes information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled; monitoring competitive products; analyzing and relaying customer reactions
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
  • Solves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Initiates sales process by building relationships; qualifying potential; scheduling appointments, and cold calling
  • Develops sales by making an initial presentation; explaining product and service enhancements and additions; introducing new products and services
  • Closes sales by overcoming objections; preparing contracts
  • Acquires companies that have no significant revenue history with our organization by selling our products and services
  • Initiates and develops a strong relationship with companies
  • Determines customers' needs and prepares proposals for selling services that address these needs
  • Gives in-person demonstrations to clients to handle objections and convince customers to buy
  • Manages growth of new business by transitioning them to be loyal customers

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook)
  • Solid project management capabilities
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
  • We will consider candidates without a four-year degree, including those with military or other relevant experience
  • Industry and customer facing experience preferred

Pay

Salary: $55,000 annually, with an annual bonus potential of up to $50,000, paid quarterly based on objectives.
