About the role
As a Safety Supervisor, you'll ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment. This role is responsible for driving employee safety initiatives, maintaining regulatory compliance, and reinforcing best practices across daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and promote a positive safety culture across ramp and operational teams
- Spend time in the operation coaching employees on safe work practices and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Conduct safety observations, inspections, and audits to help prevent injuries and equipment damage
- Facilitate engaging safety meetings and training sessions that keep safety top of mind
- Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and operational events to identify root causes and develop solutions
- Partner with local leaders to implement action plans that improve safety performance
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audit readiness
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Engineering or in related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in safety, operations, aviation, logistics, transportation, manufacturing, warehousing, or a related environment
- Ability to lead by example and influence others through coaching and collaboration
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Commitment to promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
