Field Safety Representative II - Phoenix

About the role

As a Field Safety Representative II at Baker Construction, you'll be integral to building the future of our country and our company. You'll collaborate across diverse teams, have a hand in significant projects, and dive headfirst into complex challenges with the best in the industry. This role promotes the Company's IIF culture by ensuring every co-worker returns home safety every night.

Responsibilities

• Spend 100% of time in the field observing and coaching co-workers on correction of unsafe conditions and behaviors
• Reinforce positive behavior through recognition and/or rewards
• Serve as a resource to co-workers by answering questions about safety and sharing lessons learned
• Embed with the project team and strategically "dive in" using a hands-on approach to improve project safety, quality, and productivity (SQP)
• May supervise lower level Field Safety Representatives and Coordinators
• Promote the Company's IIF Culture by being a safety resource on the project
• Assist in project compliance with all safety rules and regulations
• Assist with or conduct case management
• Ensure a safe work environment
• Participate in training/certifications

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (safety related major) and a minimum of 2 years concrete construction and safety experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must obtain OSHA 30 hour certification within 3 months
