About the role
Established waste and recycling company seeking a self-motivated individual to support field audits, customer verification, and business development activities throughout Westchester and Putnam Counties. This position is ideal for a retired or semi-retired individual with experience in trucking, waste and recycling, construction, property management, municipal services, or commercial sales who enjoys working independently and spending time in the field.
Responsibilities
- Visit commercial, industrial, municipal, and construction customer locations
- Verify customer service information and conduct account audits
- Inspect dumpsters, compactors, recycling containers, and other customer assets
- Confirm service needs and identify opportunities for additional services
- Visit new construction sites and commercial developments
- Identify businesses that may require waste or recycling collection services
- Observe service locations and document findings
- Generate qualified leads for the sales team
- Assist with special projects and field investigations
- Submit reports using a computer, tablet, or smartphone
Requirements
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with Westchester and Putnam Counties
- Good observation and communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable vehicle required
Qualifications
Experience in waste and recycling, trucking, construction, property management, or commercial services is a plus.
