Job Duties
Conduct both virtual and on-site investigations, use claims handling software, and write estimates in a paperless environment. Evaluate and report on potential subrogation opportunities, and engage with various stakeholders to negotiate fair settlements.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent Customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment
- Construction or Insurance experience is highly desirable and preferred
- Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
- Computer Literate: MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- Proficiency with smartphones and applications
- Eagerness to learn about insurance policies and property damage
- Outgoing personality that enjoys interacting with a wide variety of people
- Valid driver's license and Bondable
Physical Demands
Employees must be able to perform physical actions such as bending, kneeling, pulling, pushing, carrying up to 50 lbs., climbing, reaching, standing, walking, seeing, speaking (English), reading (English), writing (English), and key entering. They must also be willing and able to climb ladders to inspect roofs and be comfortable working on rooftops, multiple times per day. Exposure to some or all of the following environments when in the field: uncontrolled outside environmental conditions, excessive noise levels, chemicals, moving mechanical parts, areas considered dangerous, conditions which could affect the respiratory system or skin such as fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, oils, smoke, soot, or poor ventilation.
