Field Property Adjuster - Dallas, TX

About the role

Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for Homeowners Claims. Determines coverage, damages, and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. This role works independently, prioritizing own responsibilities.

We are seeking a Property Field Adjuster to join our Dallas Fort Worth Claims team! This role is responsible for investigating and managing complex homeowner claims from initial inspection through resolution. You will evaluate coverage, assess damages, and prepare detailed estimates to support fair and accurate claim outcomes. You will work directly with customers, contractors, and internal partners to ensure timely resolution while maintaining compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Handles investigation regarding all aspects of Homeowners first party claims (coverage, damages and subrogation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority
• Applies increased experience in the Adjuster II level or a rotation into a specialty position (Coverage, Investigation Specialist, Litigation, Large Loss, Water Mitigation, Desk Review)
• For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partners with assigned reps from those areas to achieve best outcome
• Recognizes and identifies key components of residential construction and repair, including structural integrity and home systems
• Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills
• Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle
• Demonstrates broad understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department

Requirements

• High School/GED
• Applicable active licenses needed for this role, including Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designated Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas License, and/or applicable Appraiser License
• Individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment
• Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team

Pay

Base compensation offered for this role is:

• Field Adjuster Cons I: $53,500 – $77,800
• Field Adjuster Cons II: $56,000 – $82,500
• Field Adjuster Sr Cons I & II: $65,600 – $98,200

Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) if applicable for the role.
