Field Project Manager III

About the role

Project Managers oversee the installation of new submetering systems at properties under construction and the replacement of existing submetering systems. They review contracts and proposals for content and accuracy, serve as the primary contact for clients and contractors, and coordinate all project-related matters.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead all aspects of submeter installation within assigned project(s).
• Determine steps necessary to meet project deadlines with flexibility and urgency.
• Track and analyze project data, including quality, cost, schedule, change orders, and sales data by region, state, and city.
• Source and evaluate subcontractors to ensure quality work and adherence to project budgets.
• Build and maintain relationships with key customer stakeholders (portfolio and property managers).
• Perform daily truck routing with internal software to ensure timely delivery and installation.
• Monitor project budgets and margins, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring profitability.
• Write deductive and/or increase in costs job change orders and work with appropriate parties to gain approval.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration among internal and external cross-functional teams, including sales, installation, and product support.
• Ensure all installations meet high-quality standards and customer expectations.
• Identify productivity trends and recommend enhancements to project management processes and procedures.
• Progress to reduced oversight by achieving revenue activation targets, delivering positive job change orders, and supporting complex projects (e.g., California W&M requirements).
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Gas and Electric submetering system installs.

Requirements

• College Degree, or High School Diploma with relevant experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of Project Management or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% to visit projects and/or vendors.
• Experience in sourcing and evaluating subcontractors for construction projects.
• Familiarity with budget oversight and cost control measures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects/tools, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk, or hear.
• Ability to operate a personal computer and communicate via spoken word.
• May require sitting and/or standing for long periods.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• May be required to lift or move 10+ pounds.

Pay

USD $85,200.00 - USD $145,200.00 per year. Compensation may vary based on location, qualifications, education, training, experience, licensure, and certification. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonuses and sales incentives.
