Field Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily railcar repair operations
• Lead a skilled workforce and ensure alignment with customer expectations
• Drive performance against key metrics including turnaround time, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction
• Manage staffing through recruitment, scheduling, training, and workforce planning
• Facilitate daily team huddles (toolbox talks) to align on safety and production goals
• Ensure accurate and timely repair tracking, reporting, and customer updates
• Maintain and report KPIs including productivity, turnaround, and cost metrics
• Participate in and support safety and quality audits
• Support billing accuracy and timely completion
• Lead and reinforce continuous improvement and visual management practices

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of safety practices and quality standards
• Ability to manage teams, schedules, and production priorities
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with KPIs, reporting, and operational metrics
• Bachelor’s degree or some college education preferred
• Experience in railcar repair, manufacturing, or industrial environments
• Background in multi-site or customer-facing operations
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
• Supervisory responsibility for site employees and daily operations
• Directly manages site employees and daily operations
• Responsible for hiring, training, performance management, and employee development
• Leads disciplinary actions and conflict resolution in accordance with company policies

Pay

Base Salary: $80,000 - $85,000

Schedule

Shift: 6:30 AM – 3 PM M-F
