Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination
    • Interpret project specifications and plans to effectively execute the project.
    • Aids in projecting needs for equipment, materials, and miscellaneous supplies.
    • Ensures the jobsite has the required materials and equipment for the crews.
    • Reviews job hazard assessments with the Estimator/PM.
    • Provides feedback regarding the project status.
    • Affords assistance in the development, monitoring, and/or maintenance of project schedules and communicates schedule delays, slippages, changes, etc., that may impact project success.
    • Escalates any concerns for issue resolution.
    • Implements the appropriate corrective actions as identified by the project team.
  • Site Management
    • Conducts regular site visits to evaluate and manage safety, quality, and productivity.
    • Identifies and escalates concerns to operations and project management for issue resolution.
    • Directs, supervises, and mentors field personnel to complete projects in accordance with plans, specifications, and company policies.
    • Affords assistance in determining work procedures, work schedules, and opportunities for improved productivity.
    • Assists in achieving project goals by managing clients, subcontractors, and project management teams.
    • Ensures completion of daily reporting, safety pre-task plans, and site safety meetings.
    • Manages site activities and site safety in accordance with company policies and client expectations.
    • Ensures good customer relationships while onsite.
  • Management
    • Provides timely and constructive feedback for direct reports.
    • Ensures evaluations are completed in a timely manner.
    • Identifies skill gaps and areas of development and determines options for skill improvement.

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of experience in the relevant trade.
    • Ability to be onsite 75% of the time with a mix of in-town and out-of-town projects.
    • Demonstrated ability to coordinate project activities.
    • Strong communication and organization skills.
    • OSHA 30 certification.
    • The ability to read and understand drawings, building blueprints, and specifications.
    • Proven ability to mentor and lead others.
    • Willingness to learn.
    • Be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
    • Be able to manage time well.
    • Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills.
    • Demonstrated work ethic.

    Physical Requirements

    • Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height.
    • Work in permit & non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
    • Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally.
    • Must be able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazards.
    • Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
    • Must be able to work in cold/hot environments.
    • Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.
