A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent education, training, and experience is required. Continuing education in management and business is preferred. Ten or more years of MEP trade management experience, with a focus on electrical, and a proven ability to improve project margins is necessary. Computer proficiency, including MS Office applications, is required. Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and tools in the MEP industry is essential. Understanding of business and management principles is needed, including strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

Complex problem-solving, coordination, communication with supervisors, peers, and subordinates, and providing information via phone, email, and in-person are required skills.

Wages and benefits, including health and welfare, retirement, paid time off, and other provisions, are determined according to the applicable local union agreement for positions covered by a collective bargaining agreement (CBA).
