Field/Office MEP Surveyor (Heavy Civil Construction Project)

Responsibilities

  • Perform field surveying tasks inside the tunnel, focusing on verification, setting-out, and geometric control of: Pipelines (water, drainage, ventilation, etc.), cable trays, wiring, and low/medium voltage electrical installations. Associated electromechanical equipment.
  • Conduct regular surveys and checks to verify clearances, tolerances, and the location of installations according to design drawings.
  • Cookordination with engineering and construction teams to monitor the progress of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) installations.
  • Process and review field data using office-based surveying software, preferably AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Trimble Business Center.
  • Prepare technical reports on progress and any deviations detected.
  • Support the Chief Surveyor in general tasks and in maintaining the project's topographic database.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Field/Office Surveyor on tunnelling projects, linear works, roads, structures, heavy civil construction or similar.
  • Experience with MEP installations.
  • Specific experience in tunnel installations is an asset, but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in total stations, levels, and GNSS equipment.
  • Proficient in office surveying software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Trimble Business Center).
  • Ability to read and interpret electromechanical and civil works drawings.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail in environments with tight tolerances.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and underground construction conditions.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills with different departments.

Physical Ability

  • Physical ability to handle and transport surveying equipment (total station, tripods, and accessories) weighing up to 25 kg occasionally.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 10 hours daily.
