Construction Field Surveyor

Job Details & Responsibilities

• Lay out curb, road centerlines, slope stakes, sewer locations, waterline, and miscellaneous items
• Ensure safe operation and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment
• Verify the accuracy of field survey data
• Proficient in reading plans
• Able to perform topographic and as-built surveys
• Generate surface models for construction equipment

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in Survey Tech
• Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of field survey methods and calculations
• Strong understanding of TXDOT plans and specifications
• Able to work independently and efficiently
• Knowledge of construction practices
• Knowledge of industrial practices is a plus
• Knowledge of GPS, robotic, and machine control equipment
• Knowledge of CAD-based computer software
