Teaching Assistant Position
The Faculty of Architecture at King Salman International University (KSIU), Egypt is seeking to hire a full-time teaching assistant.
- Must hold a bachelor or a master in Urban and Environmental Design, and at least 5 years of experience after B.Sc.
- Excellent command of English language
- Excellent use of computer skills in teaching
- Environmental design labs and green building’s rating systems handling
- Relevant industry software competency
The responsibilities for this position will include:
- Assistance in teaching practical courses
- Collaborative teaching and learning activities
- Administrative responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Teaching (3-4 courses/semester)
- Student advising
- Research
- Creative endeavors
- Collaborative teaching and learning activities
- Administrative responsibilities
Requirements
- Teaching responsibilities include time spent in studio, laboratory, or telecommunications courses and in immediate preparation of them
- Maintaining and improving competence in taught courses
- Preparing teaching materials
- Conferring with students on course materials
- Reviewing written examinations and papers
- Evaluating presentations and supervising independent research projects
Qualifications
- Holds a Ph.D. in Urban and Environmental Design
Skills
- Excellent command of English language
- Excellent use of computer skills

- Relevant industry software competency
