Field Marketing Representative

About the role

The Restaurant Store is looking for Field Marketers to support store sales and customer outreach in District Heights and surrounding areas in Maryland. Field Marketers communicate the advantages of shopping with The Restaurant Store, focusing on customer outreach to help businesses achieve success. This is a salaried role with a performance-based bonus structure and mileage reimbursement.

As a division of Clark Associates, Inc., The Restaurant Store offers over 20,000 items in-store and over 240,000 items online, serving as a premier source for restaurant supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Travel to businesses within the local market to increase sales with current customers and develop new relationships.
• Conduct calls or video/virtual meetings with prospective customers to discuss product needs and build rapport.
• Use Office 365 tools and iOS devices effectively.
• Develop a clear understanding of the product line offered in-store and gross profit (GP) associated with privately labeled products.
• Communicate effectively with the Sales team to ensure follow-through on leads generated.
• Update the Branch management team on customer base developments, including new prospects and lapsed customers.
• Report pertinent information to the TRS marketing department through established methods.
• Plan, organize, and execute marketing and sales programs.
• Research and communicate competitor information to sales and inventory teams, including sourcing details from competitor invoices.
• Assist customers in navigating TRS.com, establishing online accounts, and setting up quick pick lists.

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to 9 hours/day.
• Requires effective communication using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Involves regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

• Clean driving record and valid Driver’s License.
• 2+ years of experience in food service equipment sales or relevant hospitality experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office/O365 platforms.
