About the role

Parkhurst Dining is a family-owned and operated company that provides culinary, dining, and catering services to over 80 organizations and universities. We believe that food is best when made from scratch with locally sourced ingredients, prepared with heart, and served with a smile. This paid internship supports the successful Brand Activation and execution of the field marketing roadmap at a designated account through collaboration with the Field Marketing team.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Field and Center Marketing partners to activate interactive marketing, promotional activities (pop-ups, demos, tastings, etc.), and successful sales campaigns within a budget.
  • Work with the on-site management team to develop effective, unique marketing campaigns and communications that meet critical campus community needs.
  • Coordinate execution and interaction of social media strategy designed to engage and inform target audiences.
  • Create physical and digital marketing materials aligned to brand specifications to promote engagement on campus and on social media platforms.
  • Use insights from industry trends and feedback data to influence decisions that drive targeted outcomes.
  • Act as a student liaison to various departments and organizations on campus; assist with Dining Committee meetings or regular feedback events to obtain guest insights.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of the account's participation in campus and community events to promote awareness of dining programs, increase auxiliary sales, and strengthen brand perception.
  • Elevate all client/account risks to the Manager and support mitigation strategies.
  • Support the site leader with team member engagement activities that mirror guest engagement to close gaps.

Requirements

  • Current university student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to learn and apply new information.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience utilizing social media sites including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite and technologically savvy.
  • Confident with an outgoing, upbeat, friendly personality.
  • A demonstrated team player.

Schedule

This role is during the school semester. 10-20 hours per week, as agreed upon with supervisor, carried out over a minimum of two days per week. Schedule is flexible to accommodate class schedules and other on-campus commitments.
