Field Linehaul Support Rep

Dispatch transportation equipment in accordance with the Linehaul plan, adhering to schedules to maximize capacity, minimize partial trailer loads, and ensure service integrity for assigned areas.

Responsibilities

• Execute dispatch of transportation equipment following the Linehaul plan.
• Ensure Linehaul dispatch and arrival rules are followed according to company procedures.
• Dispatch cargo shipments to maximize trailer volume while meeting package delivery obligations.
• Enter dispatch events into an online system (TMS) to ensure on-time delivery and pickup of trailers.
• Verify equipment location in the dispatch system by completing yard inventories.
• Verify load/unload status of trailers through yard checks and report missing equipment promptly.
• Follow and communicate safety initiatives to maintain a safety-conscious culture.
• Investigate and report schedule delays, accidents, and equipment failures; implement contingency plans for on-time load delivery.
• Review and communicate Department of Transportation (DOT) roadside violations to management.
• Compile data and provide regular and ad-hoc reports to management for review.
• Assist with Business Control Self Assessment (BCSA) audit activity by retrieving data and files.
• Review trailer load condition reports (TLCR’s) to ensure proper completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Dispatch experience preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to work productively in a team and implement operational processes.
• Knowledge of Linehaul field operations, including DOT regulations.
