About the role

The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and, in some cases, completing the work required to maintain the safe and efficient operation of field and corporate facilities throughout the service territory. This role may include supervision of other facilities personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee both internal and external personnel for maintenance and repair of field and corporate facilities, including all associated equipment.
  • Recommend effective utilization of facilities and implement approved short- and long-range plans for cost-effective operation.
  • Operate and maintain facilities and grounds in a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound manner.
  • Monitor capital and O&M expenses, including assisting the facilities supervisor with annual budget and quarterly budget variance reporting.
  • Perform hands-on work, including but not limited to HVAC/mechanical, construction, painting, electrical, plumbing, modular furniture installations, janitorial, grounds maintenance, snow removal, and meeting setups.
  • Ensure adherence to facility/building fire, life safety, OSHA, and electrical codes. Work closely with internal safety and security teams.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures, and attain knowledge of regulations, laws, standards, and best practices applicable to the functional area.
  • Ability to work overtime at any time of the day or week is considered an essential function of the job due to Tri-State’s obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Five (5) years of related experience, including hands-on facilities maintenance and repair work with a strong emphasis on customer service.
  • General knowledge of all aspects of facilities maintenance and repair work.
  • Knowledge of coordinating facilities work, electrical, commercial plumbing, building construction, grounds maintenance, modular furniture builds, HVAC/mechanical, and ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel 70% of the time.

Pay

Hiring salary range: $80,000–$99,000. Actual compensation may vary based on work experience, education, and skill level.
