About the role
A hands-on Data Center MEP Field Engineer specializing in liquid cooling and HVAC infrastructure for GPU compute environments.
Responsibilities
- Own and evaluate liquid cooling systems including CDUs, direct-to-chip loops, immersion tanks, and chilled water plants.
- Manage power distribution, assess power chain performance, and ensure thermal validation through load testing, flow verification, and leak detection.
- Coordinate with mechanical vendors and controls integrators to resolve conflicts and ensure seamless installation and commissioning.
- Evaluate and commission cooling systems, size heat rejection, specify piping and fluid management, and validate thermal performance.
- Collaborate across teams to maintain system integrity, optimize cooling capacity, and support infrastructure expansion.
- Willing to travel for site assessments, construction oversight, and commissioning activities.
Requirements
- Hold a Journeyman MEP Trade License or higher.
- Experience in data center mechanical and electrical installation, commissioning, and design.
- Proficient in piping, thermal management, and power systems, with hands-on experience in high-density cooling solutions (>75 kW/rack).
- Familiar with N+1/2N redundancy architectures and integration with DCIM/BAS systems.
- Ability to review design documents such as load calculations, piping schematics, and commissioning reports.
