Field Engineer Intern Montrose - Water
About the role
The Field Engineer Intern at Moltz Construction Inc. is responsible for assisting more senior staff in coordinating, scheduling, quantity surveying, reporting, and quality control functions of projects in the Montrose and Parshall areas. This role requires working knowledge of construction projects' core elements (field management, estimating, project management).
Responsibilities
- Aid in updating project schedules and budgets.
- Maintain cost control and monitor labor, material, and equipment activities.
- Attend project team meetings and document action items and project deliverables.
- Work with Project Managers and on-site Superintendents to manage change management processes, identify change events, and present to the Project Manager when required.
- Support Project Manager and Superintendent with creating templates and supporting documents.
- Monitor payroll functions, cost accruals, and reviews regularly.
- Maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control and safety records.
- Review Field Surveillance Reports (FSR) and initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) based on findings.
Qualifications & Experience
- In progress Trade Certification or Technical Diploma/Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Two to three years of construction experience is preferred.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in scheduling and project management software.
Pay & Benefits
- Hourly rate: $35-$45/hour.
