Field Engineer - Industrial

Job Responsibilities

Aid in project planning, value-added engineering, developing work packages, and setting production indicators/benchmarks. Develop the master schedule. Ensure proper environmental permits are in place and educate the team on permit requirements. Interpret design/drawings for crafts installing material. Resolve drawing interpretation issues, conflicts, interferences, and errors. Verify compliance with codes, drawings, and specifications. Provide engineering input to the daily job log. Communicate production goals to craft supervisors and verify quantity tracking data. Monitor vendor/subcontractor progress to ensure timely delivery. Maintain the project schedule to support decision-making. Manage the project submittal log, RFI log, and correspondence. Keep track of contract compliance, buyout logs, and procurement reports. Estimate and report on extra work costs and notify clients. Maintain a change order log tied to the UAR. Coordinate submittal transmittals and approvals.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Requires a 4-year degree in engineering or construction management
• Knowledge of construction technology, equipment, methods, craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations, engineering, estimating, schedules, and safety preferred
• Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills essential
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Willingness to travel

Pay

$60,000.00 - $90,000.00 (exclusive of any other benefits and/or bonuses)
