Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems in a senior service support role.
  • Test, troubleshoot system components and functions, and verify connections, labels, installation, and work quality.
  • Understand advanced system drawings, specifications, and technical manuals.
  • Create shop drawings and submittals for new project kick-offs.
  • Understand Control System and/or DSP programming and commissioning, including basic programming and setup to configure system components like DSP, mixers, wireless mics, video & lighting systems.
  • Do basic programming and configuring of AV equipment such as DSP (Biamp/QSC/BSS/ClearOne), Crestron/Extron/AMX, matrix mixers and switchers, VTC (Cisco/Polycom).
  • Commission audio systems.
  • Configure IP addressable devices and have a basic understanding of data networking.
  • Work both "in house" and in the field as required.
  • Assume ownership of project installations, providing next-level support to the Field Engineer I, assisting field staff, and supporting project managers.
  • Maintain and complete project punch-lists for project close-outs.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of projects and IT coordination.
  • Pre-quality check projects, test all equipment and functionality, and create punch lists.
  • Assist sales staff with product and system demonstrations.
  • Assist project managers with change order designs and estimates.
  • Handle other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Able to travel within branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.

Education, Certification, License, And Skill Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • At least 3-4 years of overall audio visual commercial integration industry experience working commercial integration projects.
  • Proven track record in audio visual systems engineering and control systems commissioning.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).
  • Meet Company minimum driving standards.
  • Manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to define a project, create a project scope of work, develop detailed associated tasks, and manage these to final completion and customer turnover.
