Field Engineer I- Data Center Services
Job Summary
The Field Engineer I will be able to install and operate most types of low-voltage/structured cabling systems and equipment.
General Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Test, troubleshoot system components and functions and verify connections, labels, installation and work quality.
- Create shop drawings and submittals for new projects.
- Manage technical work in the field with minimal supervision.
- Assume ownership of project installations, supporting field staff and project managers.
- Provide advanced support for field installations.
- Maintain and complete project punch-lists for project close-outs.
- Oversight of technical aspects of projects.
- Quality-check projects, test all equipment and functionality, and create punch lists.
- Assist sales staff as needed with product and system information.
- Handle other responsibilities as assigned.

- High skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents.
- Able to work well with others and manage multiple tasks/projects.
- Demonstrated ability to define a project, create a project scope of work, develop detailed associated tasks, and manage these to final completion and customer turnover.
