About the role
The Field Engineer I will troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems in a senior service support capacity. This includes testing, troubleshooting of system components and functions, and field verification of connections, labels, installation, and work quality. Work may be performed both in-house and in the field.
Responsibilities
- Understand advanced system drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Create shop drawings and submittals for new project kick-off
- Manage technical work in the field with little supervision
- Assume ownership of project installation, giving support to field staff and project manager, including providing advanced support for field installation
- Assist with maintaining and completing project punch-list for project close-outs
- Oversee the technical aspects of projects
- Quality-check projects, test all equipment and functionality, and create punch lists
- Assist sales staff as needed with product and system matters

- Proven high skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to specifications, reporting, and quality requirements
- Able to travel within branch territory and/or regional territory as needed

- Demonstrated verifiable ability to define a project, create a project scope of work, develop detailed associated tasks, and manage these to completion and customer turnover
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalency required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- At least 3-4 years of commercial low-voltage/structured cabling experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project)
- Must meet Company minimum driving standards
Pay
Min USD $31.00/Yr. – Max USD $42.00/Yr.
