About the role

The Field Engineer I will troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems in a senior service support capacity. This includes testing, troubleshooting of system components and functions, and field verification of connections, labels, installation, and work quality. Work may be performed both in-house and in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Understand advanced system drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Create shop drawings and submittals for new project kick-off
  • Manage technical work in the field with little supervision
  • Assume ownership of project installation, giving support to field staff and project manager, including providing advanced support for field installation
  • Assist with maintaining and completing project punch-list for project close-outs
  • Oversee the technical aspects of projects
  • Quality-check projects, test all equipment and functionality, and create punch lists
  • Assist sales staff as needed with product and system matters

  • Able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated verifiable ability to define a project, create a project scope of work, develop detailed associated tasks, and manage these to completion and customer turnover

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalency required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • At least 3-4 years of commercial low-voltage/structured cabling experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project)
  • Must meet Company minimum driving standards

Pay

Min USD $31.00/Yr. – Max USD $42.00/Yr.
