The Boldt Company – Western Operations is seeking a Field Engineer to play a critical role in connecting project planning with field execution. This position offers hands-on experience on active construction sites, supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery.

About the Role

As a Field Engineer, you will be an integral member of the field operations team, assisting with the coordination of project information, contract documents, drawings, schedules, and site activities. You will work closely with field leadership to support quality control, safety initiatives, production tracking, document management, and project coordination efforts. This role involves problem-solving, relationship-building, and driving communication between office and field teams through field meetings, look-ahead planning, and the Boldt Production System (BPS).

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day field operations, helping ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Assist with the coordination of project information, contract documents, drawings, schedules, and site activities.
  • Work closely with field leadership to support quality control, safety initiatives, production tracking, and document management.
  • Participate in field meetings and look-ahead planning to drive communication and alignment between office and field teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean construction practices through the Boldt Production System (BPS).
  • Help remove constraints and assist project teams in delivering successful outcomes for clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required. An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Solid understanding of construction tools, equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, building materials, and applicable standards.
  • A valid driver’s license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check.

Nice to Have

  • Experience on healthcare or other highly regulated projects such as OSHPD or HCAI.
  • Highly organized with strong communication and presentation skills; ability to multitask, build relationships, and foster collaboration.

Pay

Anticipated salary range: $84,000.00–$107,000.00 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based on skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
