Field Engineer

About the role

Carries out research to identify problems and develop solutions.

Oversees the maintenance of equipment and infrastructure at the site.

Assists in the installation of new and advanced technologies, interpreting requirements from the research team and understanding employee needs.

Tests installed machines for performance and safety, maintaining and handing over reports to senior and concerned employees.

May undertake additional responsibilities as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Understands and communicates work directions to job site foremen, supervisors, and fellow employees.
• Works eight to ten hours per day, performing outdoor work in all types of weather, including extreme heat.
• Performs tasks such as standing, kneeling, lifting up to 60 pounds, pulling, squatting, and walking.
• Maintains awareness of concurrent activities on the jobsite, including those of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.
• Manages technical work independently, even with minimal supervision.
• Diagnoses and fixes problems with existing equipment in adverse settings and climatic conditions.
• Interprets technical issues based on non-technical descriptions.
• Communicates fluently with customers and possesses good customer service skills.
• Possesses good logical skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
