Essential Functions
- Accurately inputs and electronically transmits project payroll information (employee hours) and job cost (production, quantities, and equipment hours) into project management software to corporate office.
- Physically gathers weekly project hard copy such as payroll, job cost, and other administrative information and sends to corporate office.
- Utilizing project management software, generates production and cost reports for analysis by project management personnel.
- Using scheduling software, develops project schedules as directed by project manager or superintendent.
- Covers subcontractor activities as directed by superintendent.
- Supervise labor crew and/or erosion and sediment control installation and maintenance.
- Conducts safety meetings and enforces company safety policies.
- Sets slope stakes and performs other grade setting and survey duties.
- Performs labor duties and operates heavy equipment.
- Analyzes and interprets project plans, design drawings and specifications.
- Suggests and implements methods of improvement to meet project specifications and budget estimates.
- Calculates dimensions and performs quantity takeoffs of materials such as dirt, borrow, aggregate, and other construction materials to produce information for field and bidding purposes.
- Travel in and around company trade area.
Qualifications
- Prefer four year degree related to heavy civil construction or equivalent field experience.
- Proficient using computer software designed for surveying and bidding.
- Experience working with Topcon, or equivalent GPS equipment, Agtek & Micro station/Geopak on highway or other heavy civil construction projects.
- Clean MVR. Must pass pre-employment drug test prior to working.
Typically
- Mon-Fri.
- Work hours and times vary based on time of year.
- Occasional weekend work required.
