Responsibilities

  • Aid Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project administration and coordination.
  • Create and update Request for Information (RFI), submittal, change order, estimate, and other project documents.
  • Interpret construction drawings and specifications and resolve design conflicts.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Track project costs, quantities, budgets, and production information.
  • Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Conduct field inspections to verify compliance with project plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
  • Assist with erosion control inspections and environmental compliance.
  • Maintain accurate project records, logs, drawings, inspections, testing documentation, and closeout information.
  • Support the implementation of company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and project-specific requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience supporting heavy civil construction projects is preferred.
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contracts is preferred.
  • Experience with quantity takeoffs, estimating, project documentation, and construction administration is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • The position requires passing a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • The position involves working extended hours, overtime, weekends, and/or night shifts as project schedules require.
  • The position requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and other environmental conditions common to heavy civil construction.
  • A strong commitment to Morgan Corp.’s safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations is required.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software is required.
  • The position requires the ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
