Responsibilities

Aid the Site Manager in laying out building items, primarily structural, civil, process, and architectural items.

Support the Site Manager in procuring construction materials.

Collaborate with the site and project teams to execute purchase orders, monitor deliveries, and prepare receiving reports.

Carry out on-site material placement surveys as needed.

Ensure that the quantities of materials in place are accurate and report these weekly or as directed by the Site Manager.

Schedule and oversee construction activities, including monitoring material deliveries and subcontractor performance.

Create and consolidate activities on reports as requested by the Site Manager.

Develop bid lists, issue procurement documents, review bids, and evaluate proposals under the guidance of the Site Manager and Project Manager.

Work with the Site Manager to establish and maintain high safety and QA/QC standards.

Lead safety meetings as directed by the Site Manager.

Review, understand, and document shop drawings and submittals.

Update and maintain a set of red line as-built drawings as directed by the Site Manager.

Assist in conducting Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) audits throughout the jobsite.

Prepare and submit project reports, including daily and monthly man-hour reports.

Address safety and quality issues on the spot and bring them to the attention of the Site Manager and Project Manager.

Communicate with city officials, OSHA, and inspectors during the project duration.

Ensure that all inspections are scheduled and conducted according to project specifications and properly documented.

Implement and enforce Gray’s safety program on the site.

Create meeting agendas and minutes from various site meetings.

Communicate with the Site Manager and Project Management staff as necessary.

Handle customer requests and bring them to the attention of the Site Manager and Project Manager.

Qualifications

Hold an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or a minimum of 2 years of related construction experience.

Alternatively, have 4+ years of relevant construction experience without a degree.

Have a strong work ethic and be an energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment and collaborates effectively.

Be proficient in basic computer skills, including the use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), tablets, and smartphones.

Be able to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment and take initiative in making decisions regarding safety and quality on the spot.

Be willing to travel to various project sites throughout the United States and, in some cases, internationally, as required by the job.

Be physically capable of lifting and moving up to 100 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods.

Be familiar with and able to follow Gray’s safety program and enforce it on the site.

Be able to communicate effectively and work well with subcontractors and other team members.
