Responsibilities
- Aid in the layout of building items, focusing on structural, civil, process, and architectural elements.
- Support the procurement of construction materials and monitor delivery schedules.
- Conduct material placed surveys as needed and ensure accuracy of quantities reported.
- Schedule and oversee construction activities, including managing subcontractor performance.
- Create bid lists, review bids, and evaluate proposals under the guidance of the Site Manager.
- Maintain high safety and QA/QC standards, conduct safety meetings, and review shop drawings.
- Assist in preparing and recording daily and monthly reports, including quality assurance audits.
- Communicate with city officials, OSHA, and inspectors to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Manage subcontractors as assigned by the Site Manager and keep up-to-date progress drawings.
- Generate meeting agendas and minutes, and bring out-of-spec issues to the attention of the Site Manager and Project Management staff.
- Handle customer requests and communicate with the Site Manager and Project Manager as necessary.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or a minimum of 2 years of related construction experience.
- 4+ years of relevant construction experience in lieu of a degree.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong work ethic, energetic, self-motivated, and passionate about collaboration and professional development.
- Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to a fast-paced, innovative setting.
- Travel required due to the nature of the job, which involves working on various job sites across the United States and internationally.
