About the role

This position surveys, prepares staking design, and stakes electric distribution lines to (1) provide customers with safe, reliable and economically engineered electric service; (2) achieve high customer satisfaction; and (3) meet code, policy and specifications requirements. Systematically inspects electric lines and equipment from substations to meters for compliance with NESC and preferred construction and maintenance standards, communicates issues that should be addressed, and follows up to ensure issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Survey, prepare staking design, and stake electric distribution lines
• Provide customers with safe, reliable, and economically engineered electric service
• Achieve high customer satisfaction
• Meet code, policy, and specifications requirements
• Systematically inspect electric lines and equipment from substations to meters for compliance with NESC and preferred construction and maintenance standards
• Communicate issues that should be addressed
• Follow up to ensure issue resolution

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, including successful completion of Algebra I, Algebra II, and Trigonometry
• Valid Class D driver's license
• Two years of experience in distribution staking or line work
• One year of experience in customer contact
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the applicable position description
